So I have finally got sorted and posted these photos from the amazing ‘Creating Sherlock’ panel with Sue Vertue, Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat.
They were on fine form - Steven and Mark in particular had the eager crowd in peals of laughter at various points. The talk itself covered some of the tales many Sherlock fan would be familiar with (that legendary train journey for a start) as well as some non-spoilers titbits regarding Season 3 (I was delighted to hear that we would see a bit more of Mrs Hudson).
I was absolutely chuffed that I was able to ask a question - which was about how Steven Thompson joined the team. (Which was back when Sherlock was originally planned as a six-part series - Moffat told us Steven Thompson is also a very intelligent man with a mathematical tattoo that they couldn’t explain!)
The talk itself flew by in far too short a time. We did have an opportunity for signing (I got my copy of The Casebook signed).
All three were unbelievably lovely - Mark and I had a little chat (which I still can’t believe) and Steven was very, very sweet when I thanked the three of them for an amazing show that has lead to me meeting some amazing new friends.
As my above smile shows, I had an amazing day. It was great to catch up with old friends and I met a few new ones too. And Sue, Mark and Steven made the day perfect.
